Máté Bodor is a Hungarian guitarist known for his virtuoso lead lines with the internationally touring pirate metal band Alestorm! He was previously the lead guitarist of the melodic metalcore band All But One and the Hungarian formation Leander Kills. At a young age, Máté toured internationally, played in the British metal scene as support for larger bands and established himself as an outstanding live guitarist. His entry with the power metal band Wisdom opened the doors for him to major European tours with acts such as Sabaton, Powerwolf and Eluveitie. Since joining Alestorm in 2015, he has played the main stages of Wacken, Summer Breeze, Hellfest, Graspop and Heavy Montreal and has toured Russia, Australia, South America, Asia, the USA and Canada. In addition to his work as a touring and studio guitarist, Máté took advantage of the 2020 lockdown to write his first instrumental solo album, which was released at the end of 2021. In addition to his performances, he gives workshops all over Europe in which he shares his experience and playing techniques.
