The Ibanez JS90HAM was built in 1998 to mark the 90th anniversary of Hoshino Gakki, the parent company of Ibanez. The “HAM” stands for “Hoshino Anniversary Model.” The idea behind this model was not random; rather, it reflects the close connection between Ibanez and some of the most influential guitarists of the time. In addition to the JS90HAM, other exclusive models were also developed for this special occasion, including the JEM90HAM, created in collaboration with Steve Vai, the JPM90HAM dedicated to John Petrucci, and the PGM90HAM, which was designed for Paul Gilbert. Overall, the Anniversary Models are a symbol of Hoshino Gakki's long-standing tradition and the tireless passion for music that has inspired generations of guitarists.
